He was predeceased by: his son Rob; his parents, Martin Mesman and Marie Mesman; and his siblings, Tinie Wempe (Wim), Peter (Mary), Leo (Gertrude) and Fred (Marilyn).
He is survived by: his wife Marie Cruz; his daughter Amanda (Marco); and his siblings, Martin (Jill), Bill (Rejeanne), Tom (Ardele), Ben and Alida Maclachlan (Murray). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
