He was predeceased by: his parents, Captain Allan Richard and Ruth Marguerite Rafuse; his siblings, Marion Kirkbride, Richard Rafuse, Alan Rafuse and Marjorie Lagroix; his siblings-in-law, Fred Britton, Helen Rafuse and Cecile Ubalde; and his parents-in-law, Nestorio and Remy Ubalde.
He is survived by: his wife Elnora Ubalde Rafuse; his children, Michele (Mike), Derek and Edward; his grandchildren, Jada, Maya Gordon, Lewis, Clyde Rafuse, Carter and Kylie Rafuse; his goddaughter Tara Alcordo Eaton (Shane); his sister Patricia Britton; and his in-laws, Dario Ubalde (Emma), Luisita Condeza, Nestor Ubalde, Aura Ubalde Ortiz (George), Florian Ubalde, Joseph Ubalde and Magedalena Carcido.
