She was predeceased by: her parents, Bert Thompson and Ida Thompson; her brother Don Thompson (Betty); and her siblings-in-law, Doug Van Meer (late Edna) and Jean Taylor (late Bill).

She is survived by: her husband Ronald Van Meer; her daughters, Lisa (Paul) and Janet Yanosik (Brian); her grandsons, Justin and Patrick; and her sisters, Theresa Upper (late Paul) and Carol Chouinard (John). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
