John Robert Wanless Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Robert Wanless (Smiths Falls, Ontario), who passed away on February 19, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. T. Gordon Wanless and Janet Wanless; and his sister Elizabeth Taylor. He is survived by: his wife Frances; his daughters, Jodi Anderson (Darin), Terri Madden (Chris) and Nicole Alexander (Roy); his grandchildren, Raeley, Taryn, Reese, Clark, Carly and Maeve; his sisters, Margaret Beam (David) and Catherine Wareham (Norman); and his brother-in-law Wayne Taylor. He is also survived by nephews, his extended family.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Blair & Son - Smiths Falls Chapel (112 Beckwith St N, Smiths Falls, ON K7A2C2). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Westminster Presbyterian Church (11 Church St W, Smiths Falls, ON K7A1P6). A burial will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the Hillcrest Cemetery (Perth Rd, Beckwith, ON K0G). A reception will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Westminster Presbyterian Church (11 Church St W, Smiths Falls, ON K7A1P6).
