He was predeceased by: his parents, James Murphy and Mary Murphy (Mayme); his siblings, Patrick Murphy, Dennis Murphy, Eleanor Doucette, James, Heather Murphy, Kevin, Sharon Murphy and Joanne Craig; his sister-in-law Eleanor Hilton (Donald Hilton); and his in-laws, Verna Andre (Roland) and Dave Hilton.
He is survived by: his wife Sharron; his children, Donna (David Tysick), Colleen Dowdall (Bob) and David (Jennifer); his granddaughter Julie McFadden (Adam); his great grandchildren, Jordyn, Carter, Bob Dowdall (Sarah), Jen Gordon (Tash) and Brittany Miller (Curtis); and also, Robertson, Kate and Chloe.
