He was predeceased by: his wife Audrey Klawitter. He is survived by: his children, Gwen Desjardins (Pierre), Brent Klawitter (Gail) and Derek Klawitter (Noella); his grandchildren, Kristen, Daryl, Dyllan, Troy and Ava; and his siblings, Jack Klawitter (Karen), Lennis Klawitter (Cheryl) and Bonnie Finnie (Rick). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

In memory of Howie, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society.
