He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, John Strickland (Kathy Pichie) of Smiths Falls, ON, Diana Ashmore of Calgary, AB, Brian Strickland (Aggie Jackson) of Dawson Creek, BC and Ron Strickland (Shelley Strickland) of Addison, ON; his grandchildren, Morgan, Ryan, Christina, Tyler, Dennis, Phillip, Alexander, Noelle, Josh and Melissa; his great grandchildren, Owen, Liam, Lucas, Gabriel, Rylee, Evan and Adriana; his wife Hilda Strickland; his parents, Albert Strickland and Eleanor Strickland; his siblings, Janet Strickland, Ethel Sissons, Alice Thorne and Bruce Strickland; and his close friend Patricia Jansen.

Memorial donations may be made in Ed's name to the Lombardy Union Cemetery.
