He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlotte Hunter and Walter Hunter. He is survived by: his wife Gloria Hunter; his children, Karen Jessup (Dean) and Steve Hunter (Tammy); his stepgrandchild Ashley Best (Zach); his siblings, Les (Trudy) and Donna McWilliams; and his siblings-in-law, Paula Clark, Cliff McWilliams (Bonnie) and Bob Bernicky (Linda). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
