He was predeceased by: his parents, Tom Hoare and Dora Hoare; and his siblings, Lawrence and Doreen. He is survived by: his wife Bea Hoare; his children, Wendy (Andres), Donald (Crystal), Charlene (Greg) and Anita (Andrew); his grandchildren, Brooklyn, Breanna, Kendra, Avery, David, Jonathan, Jax and Braydon; and his siblings, Clarence, Ronnie, Jean, Connie and Colleen. He is also survived by nieces, and nephews.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Blair & Son - Smiths Falls Chapel (112 Beckwith St N, Smiths Falls, ON K7A2C2). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the same location. A reception was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 3:15 PM at the Roselawn Memorial Gardens (2451 County Rd 15, Maitland, ON K0E1P0).
