He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Suffel and Larena Gould; his brother Paul; and his stepsister Diane Gould. He is survived by: his wife Claudette Suffel (Deschenes); his children, Earl, Jennifer (Johnny) and Jason (Casey); his grandchildren, Owen (Helen), Maci, Ava and Raya; his brother Grant (Pat); and his stepbrother Fred Gould (Jan). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family.
