He was predeceased by: his parents, William Castledine and Ada Castledine; and his wife Isabell. He is survived by: his former wife Judy; his grandchildren, Corey, Chris, Tyler, Caylin, Dustin, Emma, Dale, Braden, Liam, Tia and Tiffanie; his great grandchildren, Finnian, Carter and Everleigh; his siblings, Ruth Castledine, James Castledine and Wilma Campbell (Steve); his brother-in-law Peter Campbell; and his nieces and nephews, Chad, Josie, David and Melissa.

Memorial contributions to the "Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum" are welcome as planes were a passion of John's.
