He was predeceased by: his wife Ellen Donald; his parents, James Ballantyne Donald and Lillian Donald (Maben); and his siblings, Jim (Lorna) and Betty (Bill Briggs).
He is survived by: his nephew Ian Donald (Stephanie); his great-nephew James (Helen); his niece Sheila Bell (late Russell); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Tracy Crow (David) and Geoffrey Bell (Sarah); his niece Brenda Wright (late Tony) of England; and his friends, Dennis and Diane Sovereign.
