Arminda Cortez Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Arminda Cortez (Simcoe, Ontario), who passed away on January 12, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Arminda Cortez to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her brother Damiao Correia (late Maria). She is survived by: her husband Joao Cortez of Simcoe; her children, Ana Cortez (Joaquim Alvarinhas) of Portugal and Armenio Cortez (Tara) of Caledonia; her grandchildren, Brayden, Rachel and Miguel Cortez (Silvia) of Simcoe; her great grandchild Ava; her grandson Pedro Cortez of London; and her siblings, Maria Curado (late Ramiro) of Simcoe, Joaquina Correia (Antonio) of Portugal, Belmira of Portugal, Silva (late Manuel) of Portugal and Julia Francisco (late Joaquim) of Simcoe. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews & extended family.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Jason Smith Funeral Chapel (689 Norfolk St N, Simcoe, ON N3Y3R3). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
