He was predeceased by: his grandson Kyle; his parents, Roy Prentice and Annie Prentice; and his siblings, Edna, Dorothy, Harold and George.

He is survived by: his spouse Leona; his children, Terry (Barb), Dana (Wendy), Lynnette McIntyre (Dan), Paul Doig (Jana) and Leanne Doig (Jamie); his grandchildren, Michelle (Skee), Heather (Diptesh), Carley (Taylor), Andrew (Janelle), Ryan (Kristi), Jesse (Jill), Emma (Rob), Eric, Evan, Dakota, Dylan, Jordan, Zackary, Leighton, Aidan and Devan; and his great grandchildren, Hana, Makayla, Matthew, Nathan, Sadie, Lauren, Savannah, Nicholas and Gracie.
