He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Brenda; his children, Matt Newton (Lesley) and Janice Newton (Rob); his grandchildren, Jake, Cole, Julia, Cam, David, Sarah and Andrew; and his sister Helen Capistrand (Bob). He was also cherished by other relatives and many friends.

Memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the The Lung Association would be appreciated by the family.
