With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Islay Besley (Shelburne, Ontario), who passed away on September 26, 2021 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her siblings, Jim (May Gillies), Rillie (Nelson Rathbun), Bill Gillies and Don (Gladys Gillies). She is survived by: her children, Mary Jean Campbell (John), Linda Allan (Steve), Betty, Ron Besley (Elena), Margaret McCarthy (Steve) and Barbara McKibbon (Kevin); her sisters, Dorothy Scott (late Jim) and Barbara Kaasalainen (Arvo); her sister-in-law Muriel Gillies (late Bill); her grandchildren, Carissa Darmody (Shawn), Michelle Campbell, Stefanie Whetstone (Michael), Melissa Allan (Joe), Krista Allan (Cameron), Daniel Prince (Lindsay), Katie Prince (Tyler), Aren Ludlow, Anora Ludlow, Sam Besley, Gleb Katova, Megan Schaefer (Nick), Terri-Lynn O'Gorman (Ryan), Beckie Connell (Mike), Jackie Pogson (Justin) and Dylan McKibbon; and her spouse Shelburne. She is also survived by her 25 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
