He was predeceased by: his wife Donna; his parents, Ellis and Joyce; and his sisters, Marie and Mabel.

He is survived by: his children, Darlene Haines (Rick), Kathy Trimble (Kieth), Julie, Susan Meyerink (Ken) and Brent (Shari); his grandchildren, Paul, Ryan, Elizabeth, Kaitlyn, Ali, Sarah, Tori and Connor; his great grandchildren, Ian, Ben and Zoey; his brother Wilbur (Susie); and also Marion.

The family is asking that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Diabetes Canada.
