He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Edith Downer; his brothers, Eric Downer (Clara Downer) and Stanley; his brothers-in-law, Harold Atkinson (Emily Atkinson) and Wilfred; his stepson David Downer; his parents, Stanley Downer and Clara Downer; his sons, John and Paul Downer (Kristy); his nephew Wilfred Atkinson; and his sister-in-law Velma Atkinson.
