He was predeceased by: his parents, Anna Maria and Gottlieb Hager; and his siblings, Wilhelm, Stefan, Gottfried and Florian.
He is survived by: his children, Myriam Schut (Peter) and Marina Westhoff (Manfred); and his sibling Annelie. He is also survived by other relatives and many friends.
