He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl and Irene; his siblings, Wayne (Anne), Rodney (Suzanne), Glenn (Yvonne), Archie (Joan) and Joan; his nephew Kelly; his niece Cathy; his brother-in-law Mervin Sherson; and his wife Patricia.
He is survived by: his son Darrin McGugan; his stepson Mark Patton; his granddaughters, Lisa Egan (Tom) and Tara Tolmie (Chris); his great grandchildren, Jesse, Ryan, Thomas, Connor, Nora and Lyla; his siblings, Lynn (Karen), Jim (Pam), Ed (Lorna) and Allen; his sibling-in-law Orvillene Patton; and his nephew Johnny. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.
