He was predeceased by: his wife Ruby Finlayson (Parsons); his parents, Lorne Finlayson and E. Irene Finlayson (Volland); his son-in-law Brad Carnochan; his grandchildren, Matthew Carnochan, Taylor McGavin and Hailie Van Miltenburg; and his brother Reg Finlayson (Ina).
He is survived by: his children, Sharon Carnochan, Sue Anne, Ed Van Miltenburg, Sandra, Doug Dietz, Shelley and Brian McGavin; his grandchildren, Erin McKay (Dave), Kevin Carnochan, Steve Carnochan (Cherie Lynn), Amanda McClure (Rob), Kim O'Donnell (Jason), Stacie Mathonia (Jeff), Nikki Huber (Jason), Randi Clarke (Brian), Nathan Wilson, Cody Wilson (Brittany), Jackson Dietz, Mike Dietz (Torrie), Heather (Ray) of Boer, Brandon McGavin (Rachel), Abby Gordon (Jeff) and Tyson McGavin; his great grandchildren, Paige, Blake, Drew, Greg, Clara, Leah, Olivia, Cole, Reid, Simon, Griffin, Aubrey, Everlee, Harper, Daxton, Jorgia, Finn, Cruze, Ruby, River, Rain, Wren, Walker, Isla, Iver, Sarah, Deacon, Hunter, Paisley and Bo; and his siblings, Garry (Irene Finlayson), Murray (Carol Finlayson), Bryan (Brenda Finlayson), Jack (Lynda Conlin) and Lenore Parsons of Exeter. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
