He was predeceased by: his parents, Stewart Dale and Hattie Dale of Clinton; his brothers, Nelson Dale and Gordon Dale; and his brother-in-law Cyril Brayne.

He is survived by: his wife Patty Dale (McCredie); his daughters, Sandra (Jason) of Clinton, Joanne (Greg) of Seaforth and Heather (Shane) of Austin, Texas.; his sister Suzanne Brandon (Greg) of Clinton; and his sisters-in-law, Margaret Dale of Clinton, Judy Mackey of Ottawa and Bonnie Brayne of Ottawa.
