He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Christina Smith (Scott); his parents, George Smith and Elizabeth Delaney-Smith (Betty); his siblings, Patrick, John, Rena, George and Allison; his children, Carrin and Kevin; and his grandchildren, Rai, Ethan and Eric.

After several years battling Alzheimer's, he died peacefully in the arms of his loving family.
