She was predeceased by: her husband Frank; her son David; and her sisters, Audrey Buliziuk of Fernie, B. C. and Sue Wright of Fernie, B. C.. She is survived by: her daughter Carmen Metcalfe (Barry Gillespie); her grandchildren, Alexis Dicks (Andrew Stephen) and Kevin Metcalfe (Elli Kipper); and her brother Bill Muir of Alberta. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
To honour the generosity of strangers who gave Ruth a few more months of making memories with those she loved, you are encouraged to donate blood if possible. In lieu of flowers, we suggest supporting Canada Blood Services or Scarborough General Hospital in her memory.
