Robert Daves Obituary
Our beloved husband, father and grandfather, Robert "Bob" Daves, passed away at Scarborough General Hospital on September 30, 2024 after a hard-fought battle with multiple diseases. He was 62.
He proudly raised 4 children with the love of his life and wife of 37 years, Dalisay Daves (née Dimacali). Natasha (Chris), Robert Jr. (Gerrie), Matthew (Julianne) and Chad grew up in a loving, nurturing and basketball-filled home.
Dearest Lolo to Nathaniel (4), Bobbie (18m), and Caleb (17m), Robert was known for being the playful tickle monster who spoiled his grandchildren with toys and treats at every opportunity.
Loyal son to the late Juanita Daves (née de Villon) and the late Manuel Daves, Robert was also a dependable Brother of Daisy (Ben), Pilar (James), Manolet (Teresa), Joseph (Kalai), George (Gordon), Sarah (Michael) and Diana (Jimmy).
He was known as the "Cool Uncle" by many nieces and nephews and their families, and he was loved deeply by the extended Dimacali family.
Robert is fondly remembered by family and friends for his strong sense of humour, love of basketball, and unwavering fighter spirit. He will be forever missed, but always in our hearts and in our memory.
Visitation at Barnes Memorial Funeral Home, 5295 Thickson Rd. N., Whitby on Sunday, October 6, 2024 from 1:00 - 4:00 pm.
Funeral Mass will be held at St. Isaac Jogues Catholic Church, 1148 Finch Ave., Pickering on Monday, October 7, 2024 at 11:00 am.
