She was predeceased by: her husband George Yano; and her siblings, Sam Kondo (Marge), Haru Kondo and Mitsy Miura (Tad). She is survived by: her daughters, Joanne Yano (Steve Papanastasiou) and Diane Yano (Scott McDonell); her grandchildren, Jamie and Johnny; and her sisters-in-law, Mary Matsui and Josie Yoshioka. She is also survived by nephews, their families and many friends.

Those wishing to honour Amy's memory are invited to make donations to Momiji Healthcare Society or the Japanese Canadian Culture Centre, in lieu of flowers or koden.
