He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Gladys; his children, Joey Kirkwood (Colin) and Trisha Westman (Lawrence Foster); and his grandchildren, Maggie, Austin, Kai, Quin and Jett.

A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, Sault Ste. Marie, ON P6A5K7).

Memorial donations to ARCH, the YNCU PeeWee Arena, Hiawatha Highlands or the Sault Cycling Club would be greatly appreciated by the family.
