He was predeceased by: his parents, Donato and Carmella; and his siblings, Lena and Camy of Italy. He is survived by: his wife Maria; his children, Anna-Lisa Tadashore, Paula Pastore (Giacomo), Claudia Orr and Anthony Zappacosta (Cindy); his grandchildren, Daniel Gioia, David Gioia, Joshua Pastore, Francesca Pastore (David), Jordan Orr (Halli), Brandon Orr (Sarah), Marc Zappacosta (Kiera), Paul Zappacosta and Ronny Zappacosta; and his siblings-in-law, Fernando (Eva), Assunta (Adriano) and Mario D'Amelio.

In lieu of flowers, donations (payable by cheque or online) to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Alzheimer's Society or to St. Veronica's Catholic Church would be appreciated by the family.
