It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Toini Elina Tanninen (Sault Sainte Marie, Ontario), who passed away on April 22, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Toini Elina may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, her essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 30th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church (742 Third Line E, Sault Ste. Marie, ON P6B6K9). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Greenwood Cemetery (27 Fourth Line E, Sault Ste. Marie, ON P6A5K8).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church.
