She was predeceased by: her great-grandparent Sofia; her siblings, Palmira of Portugal and Maria Odete of Brazil; and her parents, Manuel and Nazare Almeida.
She is survived by: her significant other Jose Oliveira Silva; her children, Maria (Tim), Sophia (Mark), George (Rena), Joe (Deena), David (Linda) and Claudette (Peter); and her grandchildren, Tanya (Charles), Alex (Michelle), Jessica (Kyle), Rachel, Matt (Kelsey), Dani (Jorge), Samantha (Robbie) and Joshua. She is also survived by 8 great grandchildren.
