He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald James and Anna James; and his siblings, Krista Bjornaa, Kevin Bjornaa, Dawn Evans and Glenn James.

He is survived by: his daughter Jessica Mackenzie; and his close friend Cyndi Deplonty. He is also survived by many aunts, nieces, nephews.
