She was predeceased by: her husband Nicola; her parents, Giuseppe Gamba and Filomena Gamba; her siblings, Maria Chindamo (late John), John Gamba (Yolande), Grazia Ramondi (late Luigi), Carmen Gamba (Maria) and Lina Policicchio (Tony); her parents-in-law, Giulio and Concetta Desando; and her siblings-in-law, Giuseppe Desando (Immaculata), Connie Michienzi (Giuseppe), Joanne Sinanni (Ross) and Geno Desando (Leeanne).
She is survived by: her children, Connie Lento (David), Giulio Desando and Maria Mathewson (Andrew); her grandchildren, Patrick Lento (Kelsey), Jocelyn Fremlin (Dan), Emily Guthrie (Trevor), Nicolas Desando (Valerie), Alexander Desando (Felicia), Mathieu Desando (Erin), Alexandra and Vanessa Mathewson; and her great grandchildren, Mila Fremlin, Jude Guthrie and Aria Lento.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, Sault Ste. Marie, ON P6A5K7).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Diabetes Association or the SAH Cancer Care Fund would be greatly appreciated by the family.
