He was predeceased by: his parents, Aili Simonen and Eino Simonen; and his parent-in-law Filomena Romani (Gaetano). He is survived by: his husband Lorraine Simonen; his children, Kristine (Shane) and Robert (Marlo); and his siblings-in-law, Shirley Radi, Adele Hood (Alex) and Stephen Romani (Bonnie).
