He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Hicks and Mary Hicks; and his siblings, Elizabeth Kirby (late Bill), Mary Lethbridge (late Bill), Ted Hicks (Ann), Art Hicks (late Gwen) and Norman Hicks (late Mary).

He is survived by: his wife Jeannine (Gibbs); his children, Lana Hicks (Sam Degregorio), Robert Hicks (Karen Major) and Michael Hicks (Kim); his grandchildren, Mindy Degregorio, Nathan Degregorio (Olivia Evans), Katie Hicks (Spencer Flock), Courtney Hicks and Maddison Hicks; his sisters, Eva Bovingdon (Bill) and Evelyn Dunn (Charlie); and his siblings-in-law, Donna Borghese (Carmen), Debbie Trudel (Ivan), Irvy Gibbs (late Joan), Earl Gibbs (Louise), Don Gibbs (Joan), Earlyn Pickard (late Stanley), Marie Barrow (late Bill), Sandi Rector (Hervy), Lorne Gibbs and Gerald Gibbs (Ginger). He is also survived by 3 children, 5 grandchildren and many canine babies.

Memorial donations made to the CNIB or Canadian Hearing Society would be appreciated by family.
