He is survived by: his wife Linda Murray; his children, Tracey and Mark; his grandsons, John, Christopher and Gary; his great grandchild Angela; and his siblings, Adam, Sam, Ed, Shirley, Gloria and Donna. He is also survived by extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers a donation to the Alzheimer's Society in Alex's honour would be appreciated.
