He is survived by: his wife Joanie; his children, Alexis Vanderheyden (late Joey) and Rick Hnakuik Jr. (Desiree); and his grandchildren, Bud (Alicia), John (Ashley), Kathleen, Holly, Brad, Randi, Dylan (Celina), Nick (Jessica) and Maddux.
