He was predeceased by: his wife Rita Rowat (Vaillancourt); his son Michael Rowat; his parents, Ray Rowat and Daisy (Hallett); his siblings, Betty Stone (late Albert), Percy Rowat (late Annie), Marie Stone (late Edward), Bob Rowat (late Myrt), Minerva Rains (late Leslie), Edith Rowat and Gordon Rowat (Marian); his parents-in-law, Frank Vaillancourt and Bernice Hoeg; and his siblings-in-law, Fran Teske (late Burt), Kit Legere (Eric), Evie Mojsuk (late Bill) and Roger Renaud.
He is survived by: his close friend Edna Ibbitson; his children, Lyle Rowat (D'Arcy), Marty Rowat (Nikki), Sherrie Kent (Graham) and Shellie MacDonald (David); his grandchildren, Andie, Ellie, Rhett, Kyla and Brooklyn; his friends, Kevin and Zach; and his siblings-in-law, Ed Vaillancourt (Audrey), Paul Vaillancourt (Raye) and Sharon Armstrong.
