It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mercedes Morassut (Sault Sainte Marie, Ontario), who passed away on October 17, 2019, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Luciano; her siblings, Primo (Vanda) and Lindo (late Maria); and her siblings-in-law, Piero, Elio (late Elena) and Sergio (Val).

She is survived by: her children, Mary-Lou (Mark), Edward (Lorene McCready) of London and Randy (Amy Hutchison) of Burlington; her brother Gino (Laura); and her siblings-in-law, Dina Florean (late Marco) and Bruna Moro (late Luigi). She is also survived by her nieces and nephews.
