He was predeceased by: his parents, Rena Thompson and Fred Thompson; and his sisters, Margaret Sandvik (late James) and Marlene Bolton (late Leonard). He is survived by: his children, Wendy Bird (Ron), Kathy Eustace (Dan), Michael Thompson (Barbara) and Lynda Groulx (Eric); his siblings, Marion Parr (Ron) and Patricia Lidstone (Bud); and his grandchildren, Kerry, Aaron, Derek, Laura, Tara, Michelle, Steven, Thomas and Emily.
