She was predeceased by: her husband Albert Smeader; her parents, Arnold Potvin and Priscilla Potvin; and her brothers, Leo (Joan Marie), James (Heather) and Patrick (Susan).

She is survived by: her children, Peter and Michelle; her son-in-law Hugh Devon; her grandchildren, Sarah, Ryan and Carolyn Devon; and her sisters, Elaine and Joan Carlos (Steve). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
