In loving memory of Marija Colak (Sault Sainte Marie, Ontario), who departed this world on February 24, 2025 at the age of 95. Marija leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Pero; her parents, Antun Franić and Frane Franić; and her siblings, Mato (late Marija), Miro (Zlate), Anka (late Josip) and Anthony.
She is survived by: her daughter Fran; her siblings, Mladen Franić and Frane (Simun); and her family Herzegovina.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM at the Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St E, Sault Ste. Marie, ON P6A 2L9). A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Our Lady of the Highway Catholic Church (466 Second Line E, Sault Ste. Marie, ON P6B4K1).
Donations may be made to Our Lady of the Highway Croatian Catholic Church, a place that held deep significance for Marija, who was a devoted member and served as the former president of the church's women's club, or to ARCH.
