With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Maria Martella (Sault Sainte Marie, Ontario), who passed away on September 26, 2021. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Antonio Barile and Luisa Barile; and her siblings-in-law, Gennaro Martella (Martha), Christina Carlascio (late Felice), Giuseppe Martella (Angela) and Pasquale (Rose) of Australia.
She is survived by: her significant other Domenic; her children, Cora Severini (Joe), Cosimo Martella (Marisa) and John Martella (Michelle); her siblings, Nicola Barile (Louise), Cora Barile of New York, Felice (Michelina) and Alessandro Barile (Antonietta) of Italy; and her siblings-in-law, Giovanna DeCesare (late Angelo) and Nicola Martella (Nicolina) of Cleveland. She is also survived by many nephews and nieces, cousins and friends.
Friends and family are invited to visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758) on Saturday, October 2, 2021 from 9:00 a. m. until 11:30 a. m. Masks and social distancing are required.
Memorial donations to ARCH, SAH Foundation or the Alzheimer Society of Sault Ste. Marie would be greatly appreciated by the family.
