She was predeceased by: her spouse John Nelson; her parents, Edward Steinke and Hatti Gahr; and her siblings, Elva, Wilda, Lois and Edward.

She is survived by: her children, Wanda Recoskie (Earl), Brenda Hanes, Sherry Hanes (Byron), Dale Copeland (Reg) and Darrell Jenson (Yvonne); and her grandchildren, Carrie Walls (Allen), Lori Dadji (Kizi), Jennifer Joseph (Jean), Rodney James, Craig Nott, Tyson Hanes (Cristie), Erik Aalto and Ashley Aalto.

Memorial donations to the SAH Cancer Care Fund or to the Ontario Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. (Arrangements entrusted to Arthur Funeral Home – Barton & Kiteley Chapel – 492 Wellington St. E. – 705-759-2522.).
