He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonora Gaetano and Carl Gaetano; his brothers, Louis (Loucille), Raymond (Brenda) and Randy (Sandra); and his parents-in-law, Veronica and Pat Paciak.

He is survived by: his wife Patricia; his children, Ken Gaetano (late Karen), Kim Guitard (Jack) and Kristine Gaetano (Dayne); his grandchildren, Karla Kastro (Darryl), Krystal McClean (Mario), Anthony Gaetano (Courtney), Devon Gaetano and Nathan Alexander; and his great grandchildren, Kai, Lucas, Kamario, Mila and Miko. He is also survived by 'nono' to his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
