He was predeceased by: his parents, Patrick and Mae; and his siblings, Philip (Jean), Ron (Joan), Ken (Dianne), David and Ann.

He is survived by: his wife Juanita; his children, Susan Mitchell (Bob) and Brian; his daughter-in-law Lori; his grandchildren, Brad, Tyler Mitchell and Brianna O'Hare; his brothers, Peter (Willa) and Ernie (Colleen); and his sister-in-law Maureen. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
