With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Thomas Atkin (Sault Sainte Marie, Ontario), who passed away on February 28, 2021. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Ada Atkin. He is survived by: his children, John Atkin Jr. (Miranda), Michelle Atkin (Richard), Katherine Tinney (Matthew), Stephen Atkin (Aimee), Caroline Atkin (Jordan), Marilyn Atkin (Christopher) and Thomas Atkin; his grandchildren, Katrina Tinney, William Tinney, Lilybelle Tinney (Katherine), Elizabeth Atkin Myers, Philip Atkin Myers (Michelle) and Edward Atkin (John Jr.); his siblings, Nancy Bonham, Judy Menzies, Linda Gawel and Tim Atkin; and his grandchildren, Dr. James Boseovski, Jake, Pam, Tara, Tina, Maddie, Jennifer and Leanna. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, and great grandnephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Sault Area Hospital Foundation, the Canadian Cancer Society, the Royal Canadian Legion, or the Bruce Mines and Area Food Bank would be greatly appreciated by his family.
