He was predeceased by: his wife Sylvia Mohamed (Andryc); his child Kim Mohamed; his parents, Shiek Sharif and Tajiran Mohamed; his siblings, Dr. Ed Mohamed (late Joyce), Dr. Randy Mohamed (late Anne-Marie), Ajimal Mohamed (Lynda), Florence Pemberton (late John) and Sandra Garrett; his parents-in-law, Belle and Nicholas Andryc; and his siblings-in-law, Edward Andryc and Joanne Ellis (Stosh).
He is survived by: his children, Cherie Garrett, Tirane Crossman, Lesli Nolan (late John), Ken Mohamed (Melissa), Jamie Mohamed (Karey) and Derek Mohamed; his grandchildren, Korey Crossman, Rileigh McFarling (Ryan), Jessica Griffin (Kyle), Samantha Nolan (Lyss) and Kyle Mohamed; his siblings, Bebe Mike (late Zic) and Nehru Mohamed; and his brother-in-law William Andryc. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
He received many accolades including the Medal of Merit and the Dr. William Hutchinson Award for his contributions to the citizens of Sault Ste. Marie.
