He was predeceased by: his wife Rauha Lustig; his parents, Mikko Lustig and Lempi Lustig; his siblings, Aili, Helvi and Hellä of Finland; and his sibling-in-law Alli Ruhanen of Sault Ste.

He is survived by: his children, Kari (Nancy Jane) of Sault Ste, Marie and Erja (Stephen Puttick) of Scarborough; and his siblings-in-law, Kaija Nuutilainen and Marie. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, friends.
