He was predeceased by: his wife Beverly; his daughter Audrey Gaines; and his siblings, Evie (late Duffy), Fred (late Evelyn), Joan (late Roland), Lillian (late Don), Frank (late Doreen) and Clayton (Dawn).
He is survived by: his children, Dan Gaines (Sandra) and Sharon Franklin (Rob); his grandchildren, Ryan (Brittney), Sarah Yoon (John), Christopher Franklin (Kelsey), Caitlin Turco (Jesse) and Cathryn Franklin (Lukas); and his great grandchildren, Cooper, Connor, Isaac, Norah, Felix, Quinn and Emery. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews.
A memorial service was held on Thursday, March 20th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Emmaus Anglican Church (1643 Wellington St E, Sault Ste. Marie, ON P6A2R8).
Memorial donations to the Algoma Residential Community Hospice (ARCH) or the Alzheimer Society of Sault Ste. Marie & Algoma District would be greatly appreciated by the family.
