He was predeceased by: his wives, Viola Bass and Ilene Ironside; his children, Susan Stewart (Keith), Infant Donald and Mary'George'Goertzen; his grandson Fred Goertzen; his parents, Jacob Goertzen and Agatha Goertzen of Winkler Manitoba; his siblings, John (Stella), Jake (late Katie), Agatha Nuefeld (late George), Sue Wall (late Dave), Betty Unrau (late Ike) and Mary Watt (late George); and his parents-in-law, William Bass of Iron Bridge, Ontario., Mary and Alex Ironside of Prince Township.

He is survived by: his children, Terry (Sheila), John (Linda Vardy), Mike (Louise), Dan (Gretta), Nancy Leindecker (Scott) and Vicky Goertzen-Cooke (Tony); his grandchildren, Karen Innocente, Stella Beaudry, Melissa Leask, Keith Stewart Jr., Candace Stewart-Jones, Jean Alcock, Clint Goertzen, Patrick Russell, Christine Russell, Jeff Goertzen, Erin Goertzen, Ryan Leindecker, Glenn Leindecker, Thomas Leindecker, Giles Cooke and Raef Cooke; and his siblings-in-law, Lillian Smith (Donald), Winnifred McLaughlin (Gordon), William (Peggy), Gerald (Corrine), Bernard (Wendy), Grace Oros (Frank), Dennis (Vivienne), Jean Mattila (late Jim), Bea Ironside, Margaret Cornacchio (Alfred), Peter Ironside (Louise) and John Ironside (Mary). He is also survived by great-great grandchildren and nieces, nephews, and cousins.
